Asbestos awareness

It is a legal requirement for any worker who may come into contact with asbestos to have asbestos awareness training.
Workers who may come into contact with asbestos include electricians, plumbers, joiners, carpet fitters, painters and decorators, construction workers, roofers, demolition workers, building surveyors and many more.
This particular course details how to prevent accidental contact with asbestos, what to do if you come across asbestos, how to protect yourself and emergency procedures.
Please note that to qualify for working with and removing asbestos you would need to undergo Category B training, which we also offer – please see our page for this.
Course Aims
To make candidates aware of the procedures that should be in place to prevent exposure to asbestos and to identify where asbestos can be found. To make sure workers are aware of what to do in the event of discovering asbestos and to understand its properties and uses.
